Here are a few projects at the San Gabriel Library that we've made possible over the years.

A Lego© house designed by one of the participants at Girl Empowerment Day 2017

girl empowerment day, may 2017

We purchased new Lego© sets for a Girl Empowerment program in May, 2017 where 4 successful women engineers spoke about their careers in STEM and overcoming obstacles. One of the speakers led a building challenge at the end. We've also helped purchase Snap Circuits© and Little Bits© to further young peoples' STEM involvement at the library.

making gingerbread houses, december 2016

The library needs man-power as much as money-power, and every year we get into a fun and sticky mess helping hundreds of children make gingerbread houses out of milk cartons and icing.

Adult wellness education grant, fall 2014

In Fall of 2014, we applied for an Adult Wellness Education grant and received $5,000 for materials and ongoing stress-relieving classes. We regularly apply for grants to bolster the library's collection.
